my fridge tried to die on me tonight. i called up my handyman, interrupted his quiet dinner at home and asked him when he can come over to have a looksie. he drove up from long island in about an hour and fixed the shit out of my dying fridge. feeling guilty, grateful and embarrassed all at the same time i asked him how much i owed him. he asked $11 for toll and a glass of water.
