choose to really listen to the other person or just pretend while waiting for your turn to speak. you can’t do both at the same time and it’s obvious to everyone but you what you’ve chosen.
if you are going to ask a question allow the other person to finish. you are assuming there’s value in what the other person has to say. you don’t owe me your approval but you do owe me a chance to finish my thought in my own way without having you finish it for me, your way.
people have different ideas. that’s why we listen to other people or ask questions. agree, disagree, that’s entirely up to you. just remember why you bothered to listen or ask the other person.
