dalas was simply the best of his kind. vimeo owes a lot to dalas in more ways than you will ever know. he was often the man behind the man behind the man who would sort of hang around quietly in the background and than bitch slap you back to reality if things were moving in the wrong direction.
i will miss his idealism and his commitment to it.

This was the video I made when I became the Community Director at Vimeo.
Tomorrow is my last day working at Vimeo. After four awesome years of seeing our site grow, improve, and get the recognition it deserves, I now feel like it’s time to step away and find out what the next project in my life will be.
It’s a little scary, because I am not leaving for a new job. I wanted to have some time to clear my head, re-center on my own life, and then move forward. However, I will be helping anja with her business, and it’s pretty unlikely that we’ll end up homeless.
Feel free to reach out to me if you have future projects you think we should work on together. I am good at identifying points of friction and inefficiencies and removing them to provide a better user experience.
